Purchased Webbing
The objective of the Ice Cream Social is to provide a family oriented day filled fun activities. This atmosphere helps provides kids and their families a chance to see the Washington Township Fire Department up close and personal. Proceeds that are earned from raffle ticket sales, food sales, donations and sponsorships are given directly back to the community and the fire department.
In years past, proceeds from the Ice Cream Socials have been used to purchase new 2-way radios, tone activated radio systems, firefighting tools, EMS equipment, safety products, introduced the Dayton areas first thermal imaging cameras and most recently supplied all front line apparatus with GPS units to enhance response times. In addition, we were able to supply all members of the fire department with webbing. This webbing can be used for a variety of things such as self rescue, search and rescue or as utility rope. This year our goal is to earn the funds necessary to add 10 thermal imaging cameras for our front line apparatus. This will help us comply with today’s ever changing safety standards and continue to deliver first class service to our community.
